Judge Not But Warn And Beseech

Matthew 7:1: Judge not, that ye be not judged.

I have been accused of being judgmental. When a Christian or a preacher speaks about someone*s sin, his ultimate goal should be for that person to have his sin forgiven and be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:20: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ*s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

When people accuse witnesses or preachers of being judgmental, they often do that BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE RECONCILED TO GOD.

1 Thessalonians 5:14: Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

2 Timothy 4:2: Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

In order to obey the three preceding passages, a witness must first examine and correct his own person and life for only then will he be able to examine and correct the persons and lives of others.

Matthew 7:5: Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother*s eye.

1 Corinthians 11:31: For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

John 7:24: Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Before I received Christ, I felt I was wrongfully judged by Christians and I rejected their judgment, but there was no condemnation in what they said. Many of them preached the Word to me, they warned me about the error of my ways, they reproved me, they rebuked me, they exhorted me and they beseeched me to be reconciled to God. In all those things, they were obeying the Lord. Some of them did not get to the most important thing, the reconciliation with God and there were some of them that I did not permit to get there. Some of them did not seem to have that for their goal.

There have been some that have not permitted me to finish the job and beseech them to be reconciled to God either. They seem to see it coming and do not want to make that decision. Sometimes they short-circuit the process and sometimes I have unwisely done that. Joyfully, there have been some that were willing to be reconciled to God. Either way, Christians MUST keep witnessing. BEING ACCUSED OF BEING JUDGMENTAL IS NOT A VALID REASON TO DISOBEY THE LORD.

Ezekiel 3:18: When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Romans 10:13-14: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
